What do you expect from your au pair? We want our au pair to part of our family and join in as much as they want to. When we are at work we would expect the au pair to look after the two girls. Our rostered days are mostly week days but there is the occasional night or weekend work but we know well in advance. We want our au pair to care for our children in a fun loving and caring enviroment. A drivers licence would be an advantage. Basic housework duties will be required such as keeping the childrens areas clean and tidy, and some cooking during the week along with packing and unpacking the dishwasher etc. This will allow for us to spend more time together on the weekends, which you are more than welcome to join in. Our au pair needs to have child care experience.Payment will be full board and food with own room and use of the vehicle if licenced and pocket money each week. We live in a country town that has a population of 15,000 and is approximately 1.5hrs from Canberra and about 4 hrs from Sydney.
